The VES services range from consulting to actual execution of engineering
work. VES has over 30 years experience in mechanical engineering
and design for pressure vessels. With the experience and the in-house
developed software tools VES is capable of providing flexible and
efficient services to the customer.
A wide range of equipment can be handled from reactor and column
to small filters and heat exchangers. Your complex design problems
such as stacked equipment reboilers to columns are in reliable hands
with VES.

Consulting
Every design problem is a challenge to VES. VES, together with
the customer, will define the basic design requirements. Proper
definition of the design requirement is half way the route to the
design solution. VES will develop the design solution taking into
account all the design parameters, codes, regulations and limitations.
The customer is involved in this process managed by VES. Continuous
feedback to the customer is required to assure an efficient development
of the design solution. The consulting work is completed with a
full report of the investigation work, the data used and motivators
for the chosen design solution.

Engineering for estimating purpose
Projects for new investments or revamps go through various pre-award
stages before the final go-ahead is given by management. Based on
preliminary design estimates are made to be able to calculate a
rate of return on the project. The equipment in project is an important
factor in the base estimates for projects. Many of the other cost
is derived from the overall equipment cost such as piping and civil/structural.
With this data already a significant part of the project cost is
defined.
VES executes the calculations and engineering for the pressure
vessels. The results of the engineering by VES provide the customer
with a reliable basis for the estimates. The engineering for estimating
purpose concludes in a basic design for the pressure vessels including
the overall dimensions, weights, wallthickness and a sketch of the
equipment.

Engineering for design
The engineering for design completes the details further to fix
the engineering information for detail design. Calculations are
prepared for the operation modes (lifting, construction, testing,
operation, shutdown and upset conditions), the actual dimensions,
detail design requirements, nozzle locations/oads, configuration
of internals and accesories such as agitators.
The VES engineering deliverables allow efficient detail design
and editing of the documents. The basic design drawing is in a DXF
file format which can be imported in Autocad 14. The mechanical
datasheets and supporting documents have a XLS file format which
can be edited in MSExcel. All files can be send as an attachment
to an e-mail. Translation of the files is not required.
